Nepal Visit Year 2025 announced by focusing on consolidating ties with China

BHAKTAPUR, JANUARY 19: The launch of Nepal Visit Year 2025 in alignment with Chinese New Year 2025 was announced yesterday at a program organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur Municipality, and the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
Minister for Energy Dipak Khadka and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song inaugurated the event at Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Minister Khadka highlighted Nepal’s appeal as a top destination for international visitors and emphasized efforts to strengthen Nepal-China ties across tourism, energy, and agriculture. Ambassador Chen Song expressed optimism that the initiative would enhance bilateral relations and encourage more Chinese visitors to Nepal.
Bhaktapur Mayor Sunil Prajapati stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure the success of Nepal Visit Year, aimed at boosting Chinese tourism and promoting Nepal’s rich cultural heritage. NTB CEO Dipak Raj Joshi called for support from all stakeholders to organize the event on a grand scale.
The program featured cultural performances showcasing Nepali and Chinese traditions, symbolizing the collaboration and friendship between the two nations.
