Nepal-Indonesia cultural exchange programme for tourism promotion

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 20: A Nepal-Indonesia cultural exchange program was held in Kathmandu yesterday night to promote tourism in the country.
The event, organized by The Last Frontiers Trekking Company in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and AMS Music and Entertainment, featured cultural performances by singers and artists from Nepal and Indonesia.
A 13-member delegation from Indonesia arrived in Nepal a few days prior to participate in the event. Such programs are seen as an opportunity to strengthen cultural ties between Nepal and Indonesia while contributing to the growth of Nepal's tourism sector.
Mingma Dorjee Sherpa, Managing Director of The Last Frontiers Trekking Company, expressed optimism about future collaborations between Nepal and Indonesia for tourism development. He highlighted Nepal's potential to attract over 2 million Buddhist visitors.
Indonesian performers showcased pop and folk songs from their homeland and expressed their joy at the chance to visit and perform in Nepal.
