inDrive partners with NCDM to support flood and landslide victims
KATHMANDU, JANUARY 28: inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has partnered with the National Centre for Disaster Management (NCDM) to support flood and landslide victims in Nepal. The company has donated $25,000 (NPR 3.35 million) to construct five sustainable shelters and distribute essential supplies.
The shelters, built in collaboration with local communities, are located in Namobuddha Municipality (Dhapcha Village and Laskot Village) and Panauti Municipality (Roshi Village). Each shelter, made from bamboo and mud, features two bedrooms, a verandah, a combined living-dining area, and a toilet. The design ensures year-round comfort, with temperatures staying above 11°C in winter and below 30°C in summer.
Additionally, inDrive also distributed blankets to families in Ward No. 10 of Namobuddha Municipality, providing immediate relief to affected communities yesterday. This initiative underscores inDrive’s commitment to aiding disaster-stricken families in Nepal.
