Govt. forms talks team to address cable car- related problem

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 3: The government has formed a team to engage in dialogue with stakeholders to address issues that have arisen during the construction of a cable car in the Pathibhara (Mukkumlung) area of Taplejung.
According to a press statement issued by the Home Ministry late Sunday night, the talks team is led by Joint Secretary Prem Prasad Bhattarai and includes representatives from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and the Ministry of Urban Development.
Home Ministry Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Ram Chandra Tiwari stated that the ministry has urged the protesting parties to withdraw their demonstrations and participate in dialogue to resolve the matter.
The talks team will begin its efforts immediately. Additionally, the Home Ministry has requested the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration to take the necessary steps to resolve the cable car-related issues, the statement further noted.
