No rain expected in Kathmandu Valley for next three days

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 5: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that Kathmandu Valley will not experience rainfall for the next three days. The country is currently under the influence of a westerly low-pressure system, resulting in partly to generally cloudy weather in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces today, while the rest of the country will see clear skies.
Some areas in the Tarai region are experiencing fog. This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in hilly regions, whereas the rest of the country will have clear conditions. There is a likelihood of light snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as in isolated locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy in hilly regions and clear elsewhere. Light snowfall is possible in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
According to department meteorologist Binu Maharjan, Kathmandu Valley will not receive rain over the next three days, but the weather will remain partly cloudy. The minimum temperature in Kathmandu this morning was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to range between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius.
