Protesters announce strike across 9 districts in Koshi starting tomorrow

KATHMANDU, February 9: The ongoing dispute regarding the Pathibhara (Mukumlung) Cable Car remained unresolved after today’s talks between the government team and the protesting parties.
A facilitation team of 9 members from the Mukumlung Conservation Struggle Committee and the No Cable Car Movement engaged in discussions with the government team.
During the approximately 40-minute meeting, the protesting side presented their primary demand: the immediate halt of the cable car construction. However, as no agreement was reached, the talks concluded without resolution.
Following the unsuccessful negotiations, the protesting side held a press conference and announced a closure program starting tomorrow across 9 districts in the Koshi Province.
