BYD unveils DiPilot Intelligent Driving System for all models

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 16: BYD, the leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles (NEV), has recently launched the DiPilot Advanced Intelligent Driving Assistance System at its Shenzhen headquarters. The system includes three versions: DiPilot 600 with triple-LiDAR for YANGWANG models, DiPilot 300 with a single LiDAR for DENZA and select BYD models, and DiPilot 100 featuring a tri-camera setup for BYD models.
In a bold move, BYD will offer this technology across all models at no extra cost, including the budget-friendly Seagull priced at $9,555. CEO Wang Chuanfu said, “Good technology should be available to everyone.”
The DiPilot 100 system features High-speed Navigation On Autopilot (HNOA) for highway and expressway driving, Automated Valet Parking (AVP), and Memory Navigation On Autopilot (MNOA) for frequent routes. It boasts high safety standards, including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) at speeds up to 100 km/h and a 99% success rate for AVP.
With over 5,000 engineers and a cloud database of 4.4 million vehicles equipped with L2-level ADAS, BYD is claimed to be leading the push for accessible intelligent driving. This initiative aligns with its mission to promote safer, more sustainable transportation globally, according to the company.
