Govt, industrialists agree to hike rate of LP gas by Rs 12 per cylinder

KATHMANDU, MARCH 4: A five-point agreement was signed between the government and the Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, leading to the withdrawal of industrialists' protest programs.
Following discussions at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies today, both parties agreed to increase the price of LP gas by Rs 12.75 per cylinder. With this adjustment, the new price per cylinder has been set at Rs 1,922.75.
Secretary of the Ministry, Govinda Bahadur Karki, along with other government officials, held talks with industrialists to address their concerns. The price hike includes adjustments for external and internal transportation costs, as well as operational and administrative expenses.
