Nepal, Cambodia discuss direct air service

KATHMANDU, MARCH 19: Nepal has initiated discussions with Cambodia to operate direct air services between the two nations. This move aims to enhance connectivity and foster greater bilateral cooperation.
Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, who is currently on an official visit to Cambodia, engaged in talks with his Cambodian counterpart yesterday. The focus of their meeting was the potential establishment of direct air services between Nepal and Cambodia.
In addition to his discussions with the Minister for Culture and Religious Affairs of Cambodia, Chay Borin, Minister Pandey emphasized the significance of enhancing tourism and religious ties between the two countries. The talks also covered the development of a shared religious and tourism network, with a particular focus on the Greater Buddha Circuit.
Minister Pandey further explored opportunities for promoting tourism and strengthening bilateral relations in various sectors during his visit.
The proposal for direct air services marks an important step toward improving the travel and tourism infrastructure between Nepal and Cambodia, creating new possibilities for tourism, cultural exchange, and economic collaboration.
