Nepal,Thailand sign eight MoUs during PM's official visit

BANGKOK, APRIL 2: Nepal and Thailand witnessed the signing of six Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) today—two at the government level and four from the non-government sector—during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's ongoing official visit to Thailand.
Before the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Oli and Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra held a bilateral meeting, where they exchanged views on political and bilateral relations, trade and economic cooperation, and collaboration in aviation, tourism, culture, and development. They also addressed regional and multisectoral concerns.
At the government level, Nepal’s Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba and Thailand’s Minister for Culture, Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, signed an MoU to promote cultural cooperation. Similarly, Dr. Deuba and Thailand’s Minister for Tourism and Sports, Sorawong Thienthong, signed an MoU on tourism cooperation.
Among the non-governmental MoUs, agreements were signed between Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and Mahidol University in Thailand, Janata Agro and Forestry Nepal (JFL) and Kasetsart University in Thailand, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the Board of Trade of Thailand, and Kathmandu University and Siam University in Thailand. These agreements aim to enhance bilateral cooperation in their respective fields.
Additionally, the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) signed an MoU with the Federation of Thai Industries, while the Nepal Chamber of Commerce signed an MoU with the Tourism Council of Thailand.
These agreements are expected to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Nepal and Thailand across various sectors.
