International Transport Conference on April 11-13

KATHMANDU, APRIL 7: The Third International Transport Conference 2025 is scheduled to take place from April 11 to 13. The theme of the event is “Towards Safe, Sustainable, Efficient, and Resilient Mobility.”
To be organized by the Society of Transport Engineers Nepal, the conference aims to gather insights and feedback to inform policies for sustainable and safe transportation.
According to the Society’s Chair, Dr. Hareram Shrestha, the event will focus on improving the public transportation system—making it more accessible, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Urban Development are co-organizing the conference, which will bring together scholars, professionals, and experts from various fields to discuss recent research, innovations, and advancements in the transport sector.
The conference will emphasize collective efforts to achieve safe and resilient transport and mobility. Participants will engage in in-depth discussions to identify strategies for comprehensive transport sector reform and to chart a future course of action.
Key objectives include the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the development of smart transport systems, expansion of smart transport services through AI-based technologies, construction of resilient infrastructure, and promotion of transport systems that can withstand the impacts of climate change and other disasters.
Organizers believe the conference will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of safe, sustainable, efficient, and resilient mobility.
