Himalaya Airlines continues its CSR bonding with Prayas Nepal

KATHMANDU, APRIL 18: As Himalaya Airlines celebrates a decade of operations in Nepal’s aviation sector, the airline has reaffirmed its community commitment through its long-running Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Step Towards Education. The airline provided yearlong educational supplies to the children of Prayas Nepal, continuing a tradition of support that has lasted for eight years.
The handover event, held at Prayas Nepal yesterday, included coursebooks, notebooks, registers, school and tennis shoes, along with bedsheets and bath towels—an addition made this year to promote comfort and hygiene among the children.
Speaking on the occasion, Ujjwala Dali, Head of Brand Department at Himalaya Airlines, said, “For the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of visiting Prayas Nepal through this initiative. Watching these children grow into confident, capable young individuals is truly heartwarming. Many have already integrated into society and are building their own futures.”
Vice President–Administration Vijay Shrestha was also present at the program.
Prayas Nepal President Mani Joshi expressed gratitude for the airline’s consistent support. “Himalaya Airlines has been a pillar of strength for us. Their contributions go far beyond material support—bringing hope and stability to the lives of these children. Congratulations on completing 10 years of service.”
Established over two decades ago, Prayas Nepal currently houses 18 children and has been instrumental in empowering underprivileged youth through education and care.
