Hot wave likely to occur in Lumbini province

KATHMANDU, APRIL 24: The country is currently experiencing the partial influence of local winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, temperatures are expected to rise across most parts of the country, excluding the high hilly and mountainous regions.
In the Kathmandu Valley, temperatures have been steadily increasing over the past few days. Today, the maximum temperature is forecasted to range between 31°C and 33°C.
Extreme heat conditions are likely in many areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, and Madhes provinces. A heatwave is particularly likely in the Terai region of Lumbini Province.
Weather conditions will be partly to generally cloudy over the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will see mostly fair skies. Light rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
In the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, there is a chance of light rain and snowfall.
Tonight, the possibility of extreme heat will persist in many parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, and Madhes provinces, with the risk of a heatwave continuing in the Tarai region of Lumbini Province. The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali, and fair elsewhere. Light rain and snowfall may occur at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the aforementioned provinces.
