Deepal rolls out pre-budget offer amid speculations of EV tax hike

KATHMANDU, APRIL 24: MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the authorised distributor of the Electric Vehicle (EV) brand of Deepal, has announced an "Unmissable Pre-Budget Scheme". The company strategically launched this offer ahead of the upcoming national budget that is speculated to hike EV-related taxes.
Under it, customers can avail themselves of the best-ever cash discounts along with exchange bonuses on their old vehicles. Additionally, buyers will benefit from free road tax and comprehensive Auto Plus insurance for the fiscal year 2082/83.
The scheme promises financing with just a 20% down payment and an interest rate of 8.99%. This offer, which began yesterday, will run for 45 days. During this period, customers will also receive a complimentary 7 kw wall charger and a 3 kw travel charger, according to the company.
Currently, four technically advanced Deepal EV models are available in Nepal: the S07, S07L, L07, and E07. These vehicles feature over ten industry-first technologies, such as Gesture Control, AR-HUD, and Sunflower Touchscreen, redefining customer expectations from electric vehicles.
MAW Vriddhi has over 100 charging stations across Nepal.
