Shrestha now new prez Of NRNA

KATHMANDU, MAY 4: The Unity Convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has unanimously elected Mahesh Kumar Shrestha as its new President. On the second day of the convention i.e. today, held at Hotel Hyatt in Kathmandu, Shrestha was declared elected unopposed through a formal election process.
According to Chief Election Commissioner and senior advocate Gopal Krishna Ghimire, most positions in the executive committee were filled without contest. The elected Vice Presidents are Khagendra Nyaupane, Lok Prasad Dahal, Sunil Kumar Shah, Manoj Kumar Shrestha, Bishwas Deep Limbu, and Buddhisagar Subedi.
Junu Gurung was elected as the Female Vice President, while Baburam Lama was chosen as the General Secretary. The convention was formally inaugurated by Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba.
Ghimire stated that the Unity Convention, organized by NRNA’s High-Level Committee, successfully formed a unanimous executive team, including the President and all office bearers. He also extended his gratitude to all individuals and stakeholders who supported the electoral process.
The Election Committee announced that an oath-taking and certificate distribution ceremony would be held at the convention venue later on Sunday.
