Koshi Province Investment Summit: MoUs signed for investments worth 152 billion

MORANG, MAY 5: A total of Rs 152.16 billion worth of investment agreements have been signed during the Province Investment Summit organized recently by the Koshi Province Government.
According to Dr. Saroj Koirala, Chief Executive Director of the Province Investment Authority, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed for 46 different projects. Dr. Koirala and various investors signed these agreements during the 2-day summit, which concluded last Friday
The signed agreements cover a wide range of sectors, including eight projects related to agriculture, three in energy, twelve in industry, nine in infrastructure, two in information technology, ten in tourism, and two in waste management.
Dr Koirala stated that among the total projects, 19 are from the private sector while 27 are based on public-private partnerships.
The provincial government had showcased 71 projects during the summit, with an estimated investment commitment target of Rs 173.49 billion.
