NAC brings Twin Otter aircraft back into operation

KATHMANDU, MAY 14: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has resumed domestic operations with both of its Twin Otter aircraft, which had been grounded for an extended period, causing inconvenience to passengers in remote areas.
According to NAC Spokesperson Subas Dangi, the Twin Otters bearing call signs 9n-ABT and 9n-ABU are now fully operational. He informed that new engines have been installed on both aircraft and maintenance work has been carried out in line with the standards set by regulatory authorities and the aircraft manufacturer.
The aircraft resumed regular scheduled flights on May 12 after successfully passing all regulatory tests. In a press statement, NAC expressed confidence that the resumption of flights would help provide low-cost and accessible air travel to people living in remote regions.
Dangi noted that each Twin Otter will operate at least four flights daily, and efforts are underway to make domestic services more efficient and reliable.
