Sagarmatha Sambaad begins in Kathmandu, focuses on climate and mountain sustainability

KATHMANDU, MAY 16: The Sagarmatha Sambaad, an international dialogue on climate action, sustainability, and global partnerships, officially commenced in Kathmandu today. This year’s dialogue is being held under the theme "Climate Change, Mountains, and the Future of Humanity."
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the event at a special ceremony earlier in the day.
The event has brought together more than 350 distinguished national and international participants.
Minister for Foreign Affairs and Coordinator of the Sambaad Management Committee, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, welcomed the guests and expressed appreciation for their presence.
The inaugural session is currently underway, with several dignitaries addressing the gathering. A series of parallel thematic sessions are scheduled to follow after the conclusion of the opening ceremony.
