Dr. Paudel appointed as governor of NRB

KATHMANDU, MAY 20: Dr. Bishwanath Paudel has been appointed as the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). The decision was made during the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
Earlier the same day, the recommendation committee had proposed three candidates for the post of Governor. The shortlisted names included Dr. Paudel, Acting Governor Neelam Dhungana, and former Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai.
Among the three recommended candidates, Dr. Paudel, who was listed as the top choice, was appointed by the Cabinet.
