Birgunj dry port customs collects over NPR 41 billion in 10 months, achieves around 69 percent of annual target

BIRGUNJ, MAY 27: The Birgunj Dry Port Customs Office, located in Sirsiya, has collected revenue amounting to NPR 41.18 billion over the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. This represents 68.58 percent of its annual revenue collection target.
Chief Customs Officer Dhan Bahadur Baruwal stated that the office collected NPR 1.14 billion more in revenue during the review period this fiscal year compared to the same period last year. “In the first 10 months of the last fiscal year, we had collected NPR 40.03 billion,” he said. “This year, during the same period, revenue collection has increased by 2.85 per cent.”

The Department of Customs had set an annual revenue collection target of NPR 60.04 billion for the office.
