Asset management company to be established to tackle banks' non-performing loans

KATHMANDU, MAY 29: The government has announced plans to establish an asset management company in the upcoming fiscal year 2025/26. This company will be tasked with managing non-performing loans and non-banking assets of banks and financial institutions.
While presenting the national budget for the upcoming fiscal year, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel stated that funds have been allocated for this purpose.
