Nabil Bank wins 'The Banker’s Technology Award 2025' for Asia-Pacific

KATHMANDU, JUNE 4: Nabil Bank, one of Nepal’s leading private sector banks, has been awarded 'The Banker’s Technology Award 2025' for the Asia-Pacific region. The award, presented by The Banker under the globally renowned Financial Times Group, is regarded as a prestigious honor in international banking. It recognizes excellence in innovation, digital agility, and leadership in the banking sector.

According to Acting Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali, the award acknowledges Nabil Bank’s technology-friendly mindset, its forward-looking digital strategies, and the transformative experience it has created for customers.

“This recognition encourages us to make our services even more technology-driven and customer-focused,” said Gyawali. “Since its inception, Nabil has prioritized technology, continuously adding new dimensions to banking services in Nepal.”

In recent years, the bank has emphasized digital services and sustainability. Its transition from paper-based systems to streamlined, transparent, and user-friendly digital platforms was a key factor in receiving the award.

“We see technology as a driver of innovation and have focused our strategy on digital transformation. Through artificial intelligence, data analytics, and the nBank app, we are enhancing personalized services,” Gyawali added.

Established in 1984, Nabil Bank was the first to introduce computer-based banking in Nepal, laying the foundation for the country’s digital banking era.
