Monetary policy to address economic problems: Governor Paudel
KAILALI, JULY 10: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Dr. Bishwanath Paudel has stated that the upcoming monetary policy will be designed to introduce reforms in the economic sector.
Speaking at a program organized by the Dhangadhi Branch of NRB yesterday, Governor Paudel held discussions with businesspersons, organizations, borrowers, and other stakeholders. He noted that various incidents have created challenges for the national economy and emphasised that these issues will be identified and addressed through appropriate corrective measures.
The Governor shared that the new policy will be shaped around the real problems faced by the people. He said his visit aimed to understand public concerns regarding the state of the economy.
“Monetary policy responds to the concerns raised by stakeholders,” he affirmed, stressing the importance of strengthening relations between banks, financial institutions, and the business community to make the national economy more dynamic.
