14,500 EVs imported in 10 years from China

RASUWA, JUNE 11: Over the past 10 years, the import of electric vehicles (EVs) manufactured in China through the Rasuwagadhi transit point has reached 14,500 units.
With the surge in imports, many EVs are being stationed in the Timure, Ghattakhola, and Rasuwagadhi areas.
A large number of vehicles remain parked due to delays in completing the customs process.
According to Rabindra Pyakurel, Information Officer at the Rasuwa Customs Office, customs clearance has been completed for 2,570 vehicles so far. The cleared vehicles are now en route to Kathmandu.
In addition to electric vehicles, other goods such as shoes, sandals, ready-made garments, and electrical appliances are also being imported from China.
