KATHMANDU, JUNE 11: The Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) actively represented Nepal at the China Auto Chongqing Conference 2025 held on June 6–7 in Chongqing, China. The global conference focused on “Building the Future of the Industry in a Phase of Transformation,” with discussions centred around new energy and smart technology transitions in the automotive sector.
NADA President Karan Chaudhary participated as a panellist in the China-ASEAN session, sharing valuable insights on Nepal’s automobile industry, trade opportunities, and prospects for regional cooperation. He also took part in two high-level closed sessions that covered China-ASEAN electric vehicle (EV) cooperation, sustainable transportation, and EV promotion.
The event featured delegation dialogues on multilateral investment and trade policy collaboration. NADA hosted a promotional stall highlighting Nepal’s market potential, policy environment, and details about the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2025, scheduled for August in Kathmandu. The stall attracted significant interest from Chinese automobile companies.
Along with President Chaudhary, the NADA delegation included Secretary-General Surendra Kumar Upreti, Central Working Committee members Prakash Kapuri and Yamuna Shrestha, and invited members Anup Kumar Baral and Narayan Prasad Paudel. This marked NADA’s first high-level participation in such a major international automotive event, boosting Nepal’s presence in regional and international markets.
