Nepal aspires to earn Rs 3 trillion through ICT export

KATHMANDU, MAY 28: The government has forwarded an ambitious plan to bring a whopping Rs 3 trillion into the country through Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Finance Minister Barsharam Pun announced the very plan while presenting the national budget for 2024/25 in the parliament today.
“The next 10 years is going be marked as an “ICT decade” during which period the country expects to earn Rs 3 trillion from foreign countries by exporting IT-related products and services,” he stated by adding,” For fulfilling the very expectation, around 500 thousand youths will directly mobilised while 1 million are planned to be indirectly employed.
