CHITWAN, MAY 13: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ announced that a special program would be introduced to boost production and create job opportunities through the upcoming fiscal year’s policy, program, and budget.

During the foundation stone laying ceremony of the ‘signature bridge’ to be constructed over the Narayani River today, PM Dahal stated that the government was laying the groundwork to implement integrated projects associated with employment and productivity.

He emphasized the importance of implementing integrated projects related to infrastructure development, rural economic empowerment, production growth, and employment generation, considering them as today’s national necessity.

According to him, efforts will be made to reform infrastructure, vehicles, and traffic systems to improve transportation services and reduce road accidents.

He stressed the need to create a positive narrative that the country can execute projects appropriately based on evidence-based study and analysis.

The PM claimed that Nepal has made significant progress in infrastructure, education, health, communications, drinking water, electrification, social security, and service delivery.

It’s worth noting that the Department of Roads is currently constructing over 149 bridges in different parts of the country. The PM shared that there has been a breakthrough in the tunnel way of the Nagdhunga road section, and several other developments in game-changing projects would contribute to Nepal’s graduation to a developing country by 2026.”
