Finance Minister invites WB’s Vice-Presidents to participate in Investment Summit

KATHMANDU, MARCH 24: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has invited three World Bank Vice-Presidents for the South Asia Region, to participate in the Third Investment Summit scheduled in Kathmandu from April 28. He did so during virtual talks held between him and them, according to Finance Minister Pun’s Secretariat.
Reminding that the invitation was already sent to them officially, the Finance Minister as Chairperson of the Investment Summit Steering Committee requested Martin Raiser, Akihiko Nishio and Guangzhe Chen to be part of the Summit.
In response, Raiser, in particular, thanked Minister Pun for the invitation and said that he was willing to hold talks in more potential areas of cooperation in the development partnership between Nepal and World Bank.
FM Pun informed the vice-president that the Nepali government is expediteding the process for legal and procedural reforms required for the investment summit.
