Talks with microfinance victims near agreement
KATHMANDU, MARCH 15: Talks held with the agitating microfinance financial institutions’ victims are heading towards an agreement. The talks team formed under the leadership of Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Narayan Prasad Risal, discussed with the MFI victims yesterday evening. It will resume today.
Although the talks team formed tried to reach an agreement today it was postponed for tomorrow after the MFI victims sought time until tomorrow, according to the Private Secretariat of Finance Minister Barshman Pun. During the talks, the efforts made by Nepal Rastra Bank to solve the problems of microfinance victims and other demands of the victims were discussed.
