NEPSE sees double-digit downturn

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 27: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a double-digit decline of 17.23 points to close at 2070.84 points. The secondary market also witnessed a total turnover of Rs 5.248 billion.
In today’s trading, the share price of 159 companies went down while the same of 83 companies increased. Similarly, five companies saw the market value of their stocks remaining unchanged.
Among the total companies posting gain, the market value of seven companies saw a rise of 10 percent while the same of seven other companies increased by 7 per cent.
In terms of transaction amount, Sonapur Minerals & Well Limited topped the list with Rs 196.6 million
The biggest loss in share price was suffered by BPW Microfinance at 10 per cent.
