NEPSE down by over 32 points

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER, 21: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) plummeted by 32.77 points to close at 2,109.10 points on the last trading day of the week. According to the NEPSE, a total of 304 scrips were traded through 111,980 transactions and the market’s total turnover stood at Rs 6.27 billion. The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined by six points.
The sub-indices of only two groups closed in the green today. The manufacturing and processing increased by 142 points and the trading by 17.33 points. Out of the 11 losers, the life insurance posted the highest decline at 329.05 points.
Among individual companies, 191 were recorded as losers and 53 as the gainers.
Shivam Cements Ltd posted the highest turnover of Rs 306.86 million from share transactions of Rs 306.86 million. Similarly, five companies, including Bottlers Nepal Limited (BNL) and Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (ALBSL), each registered a 10% gain, triggering a positive circuit for the day.
In today’s trading, SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company Limited suffered the highest lost i.e. 7.44 percent in the market value of its stocks.
