Nepse sees a whopping uptick of over 47 points
KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 26: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index has on Sunday saw a phenomenal uptick of 47.75 points i.e. 2.56 percent to settle at 1,907.95 points.
During today’s session, there was a total turnover of Rs 2.01 billion with the trading of 294 different stocks in 66,516 transactions.
The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also surged by 7.83 points. All 13 trading groups closed in the green with the sub-index of the life insurance gaining the the highest points- 449.86. The non-life insurance and, manufacturing and processing saw the second and the third highest points at 358.81 and 153.97 points respectively.
Chhyangdi Hydropower Ltd. witnessed the biggest gain of 10 percent, while Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Bhagawati Hydropower Development Company each incurred the largest loss of 2.47 percent. In today’s trading, “Mutual Fund” posted the least gain at 1.41%.
