Gold transactions break Rs 1 billion mark during Tihar

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 20: Gold transactions in the country’s bullion market have surpassed Rs 1 billion during the recently concluded Tihar festival.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (FENEGOSIDA), the transactions of the yellow metal were recorded at Rs 1.32 billion during the festival.
” Nepali customers tend to buy a large quantity of gold to celebrate Dhanteras (that falls during Tihar) and arrange jewelry on the eve of the wedding season, etc., So, there is an upturn in the business of the precious metal also,” states the federation.
