SuryaJyoti introduces new insurance policy
KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 19: SuryaJyoti Life Instance has recently come up with a new life insurance policy, Sahi (right) Plan. ” Any customer buying this policy has to pay just Rs 600 thousand as an annual premium and this allows him/her to receive up to Rs 2.5 million.
Similarly, the insured will have a total refund of his/her premiums after turning 70,” says Prakas Bikram Khatri, CEO of the company. “Because of its unique facilities, Right Plan is the first insurance product of its kind in Nepal.”
With this, the total number of insurance policies offered by Surya Jyoti has reached 16.
The company was formed after the merger between Surya Life Insurance and Jyoti Life Insurance Insurance about a year back. Its paid-up capital stands at Rs 4.54 billion. “We will increase it to the tune of Rs 5 billion soon as directed by the Insurance Board,” informs Khatri.
In the first three months of the current fiscal year, SuryaJyoti has earned a total profit of Rs 132 million. Its total investment is worth Rs 3.4 billion and its net worth is Rs 6.22 billion.
With an army of employees numbering 580, it has 176 branch offices across the country.
