New Executive Committee appointed by Nepal-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Kathmandu, April 27. On April 26, the Nepal-Italy Chambers of Commerce and Industry (NICCI), the umbrella organization of business between Nepal and Italy, convened and elected a new executive committee led by the chairman, Sanjay Agrawal. The meeting elected RupakRajbanshi as the vice president of the chamber.
The meeting also constituted four topical committees to improve the effectiveness of the chamber’s activities. Vinod Sagtani was elected for the industry and investment promotion committee, SarikBogati for the tourist promotion committee, KishorBhattarai for the social, educational, cultural, and sports committee, and Shubhas Bikram Shah for the business committee.
The newly elected committee pledged to strengthen the relationship between Nepal and Italy by promoting trade, tourism, information technology, and business between the two countries.
NICCI aims to strengthen economic ties between Nepal and Italy through joint venture investments and cooperation. It is a binational organization of Nepalese businesspeople and industrialists with ties to Italy and the Italian business community in Nepal. NICCI is the only organization of its kind established for the mutual benefit of both countries. By promoting bilateral trade, the Nepal Italy Chamber hopes to attract Italian investment and increase the number of Italian tourists visiting Nepal.
