Adani at number four among the rich: leaving behind Microsoft founder Bill Gates
Agencies, July 21. Gautam Adani, chairman of Aa Dani Group, has overtaken Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates to become the fourth richest person in the world. According to the Forbes rich list, Adani has become $ 115.4 billion (about 9.2 lakh crore rupees) while Gates’s net worth is $ 104.2 billion (about 8.3 lakh crore rupees). That is, there is a difference of about $ 11 billion in the net worth of both.
Adani had joined the $100 billion club on April 4 this year. He is also the richest person in Asia. Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, is at number 10 in the list of Forbes. Business tycoon Adani is now behind only 3 people. Tesla founder Elon Musk, Louis Vuitton CEO Bernard Bernard Arnault and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Due to the rapid increase in the share prices of Adani Group, he has reached number four.
Adani had joined the centibillionaires club on April 4. Individuals with a net worth of more than $100 billion are called centibillionaires. A year before this i.e. in April 2021, Adani’s net worth was $ 57 billion. The Adani Group has seven publicly listed companies with a combined market capitalization of over $200 billion. Adani is first in Asia and Mukesh Ambani is second in terms of net worth.

Adani’s net worth grew the fastest in the world in the financial year 2021-2022. Adani added around $49 billion to his net worth in 2021, making him the highest earner.
