Government employees’ salary goes up by 15 per cent

Kathmandu, May 30. Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has announced a 15 per cent hike in the government employees’ salary from the new fiscal year.
Releasing the annual budget for the fiscal year 2022/023 today in the Federal Parliament, Finance Minister Sharma salary of civil servants, army personnel, police personnel, teachers and all other government employees is increased by continuing the dearness allowances to maintain their sense of service while encouraging them. The new salary level will come into force from the beginning of the new fiscal year.
As stated in the annual budget, Federal Civil Service Act would be brought, administrative costs would be reduced, administrative restructuring would be done and good-governance and effective service delivery would be ensured.
