Paskistan Provided Financial Aid to Nepal

Kathmandu, June 30. The Government of Pakistan has provided financial assistance of Rs. 43 million to help Nepal in its fight against Covid-19. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Saeed Haider Shah handed over the assistance amount on the Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

The Secretary of the office Dr. Khagraj Baral received the aid on Tuesday afternoon. This was stated in a press release issued by the Pakistani Embassy in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

“The amount transferred to Nepal is part of the Pakistani government’s commitment to provide funds through the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) COVID-19 emergency fund,” the embassy said in a statement.

On behalf of the Government of Nepal, Secretary Baral expressed his gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for its generous assistance in the prevention, control and treatment of the Corona Epidemic.
