Prez Bhandari opines for preserving, Ruru Kshetra, Kaligandaki River

Gulmi, Feb 16. President Bidya Devi Bhandari has urged all to pay attention for the preservation and development of Ruru Kshetra and Kaligandaki River.

The Hindu pilgrimage Ruru Kshetra (area) is located in southwestern Nepal in Pala district where important Vedic rituals are performed while the Kaligandaki River (black river) is considered to be one of the holiest rivers in the country.

While inaugurating the centenary programme of Ridi based Sanskrit and General Secondary School here Friday, President Bhandari said that Indian and Chinese tourists may visit the sites if they were developed.

The Head of the State also noted that all political parties had important roles in holistic development of the nation.

President Bhandari also took a holy bath in Kaligandaki River.
