Slight increase in Nepse index

Kathmandu, Aug 16 . The domestic share market recorded a slight increase today on average, the last day of the week for share transactions, compared to the previous day. However, the sensitive index measuring the share values of ‘A’ class companies fell 0.02 points.

According to the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), while nine sub indices plummeted today, two sub-indices (banking, and manufacturing and production) increased, thus adjusting the losses in the total index which was increased by 0.61 points to close at 1,210 points.

The two sub indices were closed highlighting the 4.1 and 77.32 points increases, respectively.

Total turnover was Rs 455,243,785 and a total 1,361,627 units of shares of 166 companies were traded.

Other sub-indices trading, hotels, development bank, hydropower, finance, non life insurance, micro finance and life insurance dropped today.
