Study for expansion of Kalanki-Maharajgunj road

Lalitpur, Dec 15. As the construction of the Koteswar-Kalanki road section of the ring road is nearing completion, a study has begun to expand the Kalanki to Maharajgunj section of the same ring road.
The road also to be constructed with the support of the Chinese government will be nearly 12 kilometers long and will of eight-lanes, said joint spokesperson of the Department of Roads Ramesh Kumar Singh. Also, a single lane service track will include in the road expansion project.
Furthermore, a study is underway to explore the need for ‘under-pass’ and pedestrian bridges along the road, Singh said.
The foreign aid division of the department is making a detailed study of the road expansion and the design report based on the study report will pave the way for the expansion work.
