TAAN provides Rs 6 million relief amount

Kathmandu, Nov 27 . The Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) has provided has Rs 6 million relief amount to the families of the workers losing lives during trekking.

Twelve families of the trekking workers who died in course of trekking along the route of Annapurna, Upper Dolpa, Sagarmatha, Manaslu and others were provided Rs half million each.

The relief amount was managed from the fund set up by the Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS), said TAAN General Secretary Angtemba Sherpa.

The families of Dak Bahadur Alemagar, Bhim Bahadur Gurung, Jivan Limbu, Khem Bahadur Shrestha, Sansar Gurung, Indra Bahadur Gurung, Pemba Kuisang Sherpa, Chhiring Bhote, Dina Angjuk Bhote, Phurba Bhote, Netra Bahadur Chhantyal and Premdorje Sherpa were provided the relief amount amidst a programme organized in the capital city on Monday.
Earlier, such relief amount was provided to 33 families.
