Kathmandu, Oct 17. MAW Life, an authorized importer of the American SUV brand in Nepal, has commenced the deliveries of its seven-seat SUV Jeep Meridian. MAW Life has conducted a special delivery at its Kathmandu showroom on Monday were 3 units of Jeep Medirian were handed over to their owners.
Jeep Meridian is the first seven-seater4X4 capable SUV from the legendary brand Jeep. In Nepal, Meridian is available in the top variant of Meridian Limited (O) that comes with a 2.0LMultijet diesel engine which produces 168 BHP power and 350 Nm torque with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with Jeep’s legendary 4X4 system with Selec-terrain with sand, mud, snow, and auto options.
‘Jeep Meridian is ideal mix of adventure and sophistication that will be evidenced with many segment-first features and its refined abilities both on and off road,’ said Mr Joju Jose Thattil, CEO of MAW Life, ‘Even if the auto industry is slower compared to last couple of years, we are happy that we could maintain the momentum of sales of Jeep SUVs in Nepal. Instead of impact of economy adversity in auto sector in first quarter of this fiscal year, we have achieved our sales target.’
Jeep Meridian is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, wireless smart connectivity, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, a powered front seat with ventilation, a powered tail gate and more.
Safety features included are 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring, traction control, ESC, Hill-start and Descent Control, and others.
