Indian celebrated 72nd Republic Day
Kathmandu, Jan 27. The celebration honored by Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali along with Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra.
India ambassador or Felicitated the veer nari, war widow and kins of deceased soldiers in their republic day by disbursing NRs. 3.68 core and blanket to each in the Embassy of Kathmandu. Continuing its long and deep friendship, the Embassy has gifted books to 50 libraries and education institutions in all provinces in its bid to extend soft diplomacy with the novice Federal Democratic Republic, Nepal.
The day was honored by Foreign Minister Predeep Kumar Gyawali as a chief guest in the reception hosted by the ambassador. Besides, erstwhile President Rt. Hon. Dr Ram Baran Yadav in the presence of distinguished alumni from different background launched the India- Nepal Alumni Network ‘Sampark’.
Prominent leaders, officials, artists, journalist and public personalities who studied in India glorified the event. The significant contribution to strengthening harmony and congenital linkage among the people of the two great neighbors from those dignitaries was humbly acknowledged from the Embassy.
Certificates and cheques were handed over to the top three winner of ‘Maitri Through My Lens Photography Contest, in the culmination of the occasion.
