RBB State Office established
Surkhet, Jan 4. The State Office of the state-owned Rastriya Banijya Bank has been established in Birendranagar. The Office has been set up with the objective of monitoring, inspecting and supervising the RBB branch offices within the Karnali State.
Inaugurating the office at ward no. 8 of Birendranagar municipality on Friday, Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi said that the RBB had the challenge of providing services in a quicker and efficient, and reliable manner in compared to the private banks.
“Considering the income level of the residents of Karnali, the bank should be provided concessional loan to them,” he said. Deputy CEO of the Bank Kabiraj Adhikari said the State office had the authority of approving credit worth Rs. 12.5 million and renewing credit worth Rs. 25 million.
The RBB has nearly 3 million depositors across the country with 200,000 creditors and 228 branches. Likewise, it has 205 ATM counters, 95 branchless banking units, 450,000 ATM customers and one million mobile making customers.
