Bangladesh to assist Nepal in realizing prosperity, happiness
Kathmaudu, Nov 13. President of Bangladesh Md Abdul Hamid has said his country would extend utmost support to Nepal in realizing its national ambition of ‘prosperous Nepal-happy Nepali.’ The Bangladeshi President, who is currently on a four-day official goodwill visit to Nepal, said it during a meeting with Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Tuesday.
Minister Gyawali paid a courtesy call on the President. During the meeting, President Hamid reminded that then political leadership in Nepal had provided moral support to Bangladesh in its independence movement.
Nepal, he recounted, was the seventh country to recognize Bangladesh as an independent country after the movement. Foreign Minister Gyawali shared such views of Bangladeshi President before the media. He added that President Hamid stressed on strengthening of bilateral cooperation and collaboration to reap utmost benefit from Bangladesh.
Connectivity, energy assistance, use of Bangladesh ports, infrastructure construction, tourism, trade promotion were the issues featuring during the meeting, Gyawali said, adding that he informed the visiting President that Nepal was for furthering existing relations to economic partnership. He added that Bangladeshi President’s visit to Nepal added new dimension to Nepal-Bangladesh relations.
