Karnali State Minister Khatry relieved of post

Surkhet, Aug 16 . Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of the Karnali State government, Khadka Bahadur Khatry has been relieved of his ministerial post.
The Karnali State government on Thursday removed him from the post. Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi relieved Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Khatry of the ministerial berth as per the Article 169 (2)(a) of the Nepal Constitution, shared Chief Minister’s press adviser Dhruba Bikram Budhathoki.
Minster Khatry’s position was in danger after the Patan High Court issued arrest order against him over a fraudulent case related to bank guarantee. Budhathoki further informed that Chief Minister Shahi himself will take charge of the ministry after the removal of Khatry.
It may be noted that the Patan High Court on Monday had issued order to arrest Khatry. A divisional bench of justice duo, Shreekanta Poudel and Tek Prasad Dhungana, issued the arrest order against sitting Minister Khatry
