Truck falls into Trishuli river, one goes missing

Kathmandu, July 13. A truck plunged into the Trishuli river from the Prithvi highway at Nagdikhola of Ichhakamana rural municipality-5 in Chitwan at 1.30 am today.
The truck helper, 25-year-old Anil Gurung of Ghorahi, Dang district, has gone missing while the driver has sustained injuries in the accident occurred in the wee hours, Traffic Police Office Chitwan stated. The truck (Na 4 Kha 1796) was going towards Kathmandu from Bhairahawa.
It was carrying poultry feed. Truck driver, 46-year-old Madhav Thapa Magar of Lalitpur who was injured in the mishap is receiving medical treatment at the Old Medical College Bharatpur. The truck is submerged in water and rescue had been difficult due to the flooded condition of the river, police said.
