Trekking route construction begins at Helambu

Chatara, July 2 . The construction of 60-km long Himalayan Helambu Great Trail (trekking route) has begun at Helambu rural municipality – a popular tourist destination in Sindhupalchowk district. So far, the multi-year project has seen the construction of 100 metres of the stretch.
Neema Gyaljen Sherpa, chairperson of the rural municipality, shared that the project which was estimated to complete at the cost of Rs 3 billion had set a target to build 120 metres within the current fiscal year. The State-3 government had released a grant of Rs 5 million for the ambitious project.
The first route stretches from Buddha Park, Sermathang, Jyamothang, Amayangri, Bhemtnag and Gyangjala Bhanjyang. Likewise, the second route covers Ghoptegyang, Pakedanda, Dhadepati, Semi Sidang and Gyangjala.
It is noted that the construction of trekking routes once completed will be easier to reach Gosainkunda – the popular religious site in Rasuwa.
