Monsoon becomes active across country

Kathmandu, June 28 . Monsoon has become active throughout the country from today, the Meteorological Forecasting Division stated.
It had entered the country ten days late this year than last year. Meteorologist Manju Basi said the monsoon has become more active in the central and eastern region of the country whereas it was less active in the western region due to the development of a low pressure trough.
According to her, continuous rain does not occur during this time but there is alteration of brief rain and sunshine. Less rainfall will occur in the western region compared to the eastern and central parts of the country today, the Division stated.
The weather will be generally to completely cloudy in the central and eastern parts while it will be partly cloudy in the western parts of the country tonight.
